Geoff Staite

It is with great sadness that we announce that our lovely Geoff passed away on the 4th August and consequently the company has ceased trading.  We recommend Dennis Daley of PD Training, contact him on 0121 526 5870, mobile 07930 622077 or email at enquiries@firstaidatpdtraining.co.uk

Our style of teaching is relaxed and informal, we do not use PowerPoint or overhead projectors or expect delegates to sit through hours of boring lectures.  We believe that the best way to teach first aid is for delegates to practice the subjects as they are being taught and although there is some theory to learn, most of the course is very hands-on. Both First Aid at Work courses include a small section on baby and child first aid, after all, it's not only at work where your first aid skills will be required.

All our First Aid at Work courses are based on the HSE training standards for delivery of First Aid at Work training for the purpose of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981

Emergency First Aid Courses

Imagine that one of your colleagues collapses at work, is it a simple faint or a more serious illness such as a heart attack or stroke?  A colleague has a wound and is losing blood fast, someone has a serious burn.  What would you do?  Call an ambulance?  You would be right, but unless you are close to an ambulance station, it may take at least eight minutes for Paramedics to reach you. If a casualty has suffered a cardiac arrest, eight minutes will be too late, you only have four minutes to save their life.  We can show you in a few simple steps how to maintain life and promote early recovery.  As many companies and public places now have an AED device, all our courses now include AED training..

One important thing to bear in mind when looking for a first aid course provider is that most companies have trainers who have completed a first aid course and probably a teaching course. They have learned their skills from books, whereas our trainers are drawn from the emergency services and have first hand knowledge of medical emergencies and can relate these scenarios to the delegates which makes the course far more interesting.  We have a Facebook page where you can LIKE us and we welcome your comments, just click on the Facebook icon.
